“A good trainer can hear a horse speak to him. A great trainer can hear him whisper.”
And so it is true for great leaders as well, but what is it that differentiates a good leader from a great leader? Should we lead our spouses and children the same way we lead our employees? In this workshop interactive activities with horses reveal participants' leadership styles, strengths, and weaknesses. Specific leadership goals will be identified. Like humans, in the wild horses both lead and follow. We learn by observing how they respond to different forms of authority from both humans and their herd mates. Activities in this workshop will challenge old assumptions and beliefs, examine boundary setting and assertiveness issues, promote creative thinking and problem solving, and examine communication and cooperation styles within the context of leadership roles. Motivation and how it is inspired, non-verbal leadership styles, and how to sustain healthy leadership once it is established will be explored.[an error occurred while processing this directive]
